So we built a home for the books other houses pass on: honest, risk-taking fiction told on the author’s own terms, under their own name or a chosen one. Our aim is simple — to help writers turn work they’ve poured themselves into something real, and to help make their dreams come true.
Our debut novel, Still Standing by Quincy Beaumont, is the first title to carry that conviction into print, with more to follow.
We publish from the writing outward. Every decision — editorial, cover, production, distribution — serves the story and the voice that made it, not a formula. We carry a book through the full path to print, then release it wide on day one: available everywhere readers buy books, never tied to a single platform.
We work small on purpose. A short, deliberate list means every title gets real attention and nothing is published just to fill a season. We sharpen an author’s voice; we don’t sand it down. And when a writer chooses to publish under a pen name, we build around that choice and protect it.
Amendment One Press responds to valid legal process. All such matters are received by our designated agent and routed to the appropriate party for review.

We require legally valid, properly served process. We do not accept service by email, web form, social media, or telephone, and informal requests will not be treated as binding legal process. Process should specify the title or matter at issue, the requesting party and authority, the specific records or information sought, and a response deadline consistent with applicable law.
Law Enforcement Requests
We respond to law enforcement requests only when accompanied by valid legal process appropriate to the information sought. Requests should be directed to the registered agent above.
Notification Policy
Unless prohibited by law, by court order, or by the terms of the process itself, Amendment One Press will make reasonable efforts to notify any author or party affected by a subpoena, warrant, or other legal demand before producing materials, so they may seek to protect their rights.
Defamation and Content Complaints
Attorneys or parties who believe material published by Amendment One Press is defamatory or otherwise legally actionable may submit a written notice identifying the specific work and passage at issue, the claimant and their counsel, the factual basis for the claim, and the relief sought. Notices may be sent to the registered agent address above and will be reviewed in good faith with our counsel. Works published by Amendment One Press may be fiction or autofiction and may carry an express disclaimer that characters, events, and dialogue are fictionalized or composite and not statements of fact about real persons. Submitting a notice does not constitute an admission of any kind.

Notices of claimed copyright infringement are handled separately under our DMCA policy. See the DMCA / Copyright Takedown section below for the required contents of a valid notice and the designated agent for delivery. Copyright takedown notices sent through this general legal channel may not be treated as effective DMCA notices.
Amendment One Press respects intellectual property rights and responds to valid notices of claimed copyright infringement under the Digital Millennium Copyright Act (17 U.S.C. § 512).

Amendment One Press is an independent publishing imprint built for voice-driven, unapologetic fiction—stories told the way the writer meant them to be told, without the sanding-down that so often happens on the way to a shelf.
We work end to end, in-house: editorial, design, production, and distribution. That control is the point. It lets an author keep the integrity of their voice while still reaching readers widely, rather than choosing between the two.
